How long do transfers take?

Most transfers are completed within minutes. Delivery times may vary depending on the destination country, payout method, recipient institution, and any required compliance checks.

How much does it cost to send money?

All applicable fees and exchange rates are clearly displayed before you confirm your transaction.

Why does the calculator say 'Indicative Rates'?

GoRemitPay is currently preparing for launch. The rates displayed in the calculator are provided for illustration purposes only and may not reflect the rates available when services become operational.

Can I cancel a transfer?

Transfers may only be cancelled before they have been processed. Once a transaction has been processed or released to a payout partner, it may no longer be eligible for cancellation.

Are there limits on how much I can send?

Transfer limits may vary depending on your location, verification status, destination country, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Receiving Money

How will my recipient receive the money?

Recipients may receive funds through supported payout methods including bank transfer, mobile wallet, or cash pickup, depending on the destination country and available services.

Does my recipient need a GoRemitPay account?

No. In most cases, recipients do not need a GoRemitPay account to receive funds.

Verification

Why do I need to verify my identity?

As a registered Money Services Business, we are required to verify customer identities to comply with anti-money laundering regulations and help prevent fraud and financial crime.

What documents can I use?

You must provide a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID, such as a passport, driving licence, or national identity card.

How long does verification take?

Most identity checks are completed within minutes. Where additional review is required, verification is typically completed within one business day.

Why have you requested additional information?

In some circumstances, we may request additional information or documentation to meet regulatory requirements and help protect our customers and services.
